When we first kicked off René House back in 2018, we were basically running on vibes, passion and a whole lot of coffee!
Like most startups in the supported housing world, we were laser-focused on one thing: getting as many people as possible off the streets and into stable housing.
Our original branding was... well, let's just say it did the job! (😅) It was basic, functional, and got the point across. But as we've grown up a bit over the years, something interesting happened...
While our mission is still exactly the same, our approach has definitely leveled up. And we wanted to reflect that in how we represent ourselves and show up.
If you've been following our journey for a while, you've probably noticed we talk a lot about 'quality over quantity' these days.
Instead of frantically expanding our property portfolio as fast as possible, we've hit the brakes a bit to focus on creating spaces that actually feel good to live in.
We've learned that the details really do matter. Comfy furnishings, smart layouts, and those little personal touches that make a house feel like a proper home - they all play a huge part in helping someone rebuild their life.
But our old website and branding? They were stuck in 2018! They were telling the story of who we used to be, not the René House we've grown into.
We didn't just want a fancy new look for the sake of it (though we have to admit, it does look pretty good! 👀).
This rebrand was all about authenticity - making sure that when someone stumbles across René House online, they actually get a real sense of who we are.
Our new brand captures that perfect balance of being professional enough to be taken seriously, but warm enough that you know there are actual humans behind it. Because that's the truth, we're not just another faceless housing provider. We're a team that genuinely cares about creating spaces where people can get back on their feet.

We've basically created a digital home that gets the same level of TLC as the actual homes we provide!
Don't worry, we haven't gone all corporate underneath this fancy new exterior! We're still the exact same René House, working toward the same goal of helping people move from tough situations into independent living.
If anything, this rebrand has been a great reminder of why we started René House in the first place. It's shown us that putting care into the small details, whether that's in our houses or in our logo, really does make a difference.
